Armes Tree Solutions Ltd provides the full range of tree management, maintenance and tree removal services. Our expertise extends across the full gambit of jobs, from smaller single tree pruning and / or removal work for homeowners, through to larger, more extensive multiple tree removal services for property developers and local councils.
With us, no job is too big or too small. We take great pride in providing a quality service, each and every time. Over the years, we’ve invested in quality commercial level, equipment and machinery, which is all part of our commitment of providing an exceptional, leading level of service.
Established in 2014, and led by Stephen Armes and Michelle Swanson, we have provided our expertise across the greater Wellington region for 10 years. We understand the challenges of the Wellington climate, and we can advise and guide you on the most appropriate tree care, maintenance or removal approach for your specific situation.

Fully Trained and Experienced Team
Our staff are fully trained and experienced, including certified for ‘Working at Heights’.
Our arborists have attained Level 3 and above NZQA certifications, or an equivalent overseas credential. Some of our team members also hold arboriculture qualifications from the London Institute of arboriculture, and from Merrist Wood College, (Guildford, UK).
With this level of expertise, you can be assured that our team, with our proven experience, will provide the highest in care and quality of work.
Commercial Level Equipment
As trained arborists we understand the importance of working with quality, commercial level equipment. With safety top of mind, along with ensuring site safe practices at all times, we’ve invested in the following:
- Commercial level wood chipper / mulcher, for fast on-site processing of the green waste.
- Portable alpine stump grinder, ideal for tight stump locations.
- A larger hydraulic stump grinder where standard gateway access is provided.
